More than anything else, men are always looking for a new shirt and I hear it over and over again, “I do not want anymore plaid.” I don’t blame them. Look at every designers collection for the past few seasons and they are totally plaid and gingham centric. This year though, I am finding a lot more menswear designers are starting to jump out of the box and are producing awesome patterned shirts. Above I featured 3 of my most recent favorites.
The first one by Paul Smith is extremely soft in fabric and has dinosaurs printed on it…need I say more? Wear it with a pair of jeans or slim fit colored chinos. The second one by Vince is a bit dressier with a paisley print and a smaller paisley print on the cuff. Pair this one with a dark pair of jeans and dressier shoes or boots! Lastly we have another Paul Smith shirt (because Paul Smith is the freaking man). This white button down with has a graffiti print incorporating blue and green colors. It reminds me so much of the artist Calder and this amazing exhibit of his work I saw at the Centre de Pompidou while I was in Paris one too many years ago. Brownie points for you if you are on a date and can talk about Calder! haha!
