I’ve been a Nordy girl for a while now and there’s no denying that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of retails’ most popular annual events. I always find great items for myself but think the selection for men is top notch. I styled my friend Josh to showcase one man in 3 different looks. From work to weekday casual to a night out, everything can be found on sale.
THE WEEKDAY WORK LOOK
Business casual: for the guy who doesn’t need to wear a suit to work but still needs to look good. Cardigan, check. Plaid shirt, check. Chinos, check. Knit tie, check. Brown dress shoes, check. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, invest in a good pair of brown dress shoes. Some of my favorite brands are To Boot New York, Allen Edmonds and Ferragamo. Shoes are important and you only need a few great pairs. Quality over quantity.
Cardigan: Jack Spade, Shirt: Bonobos, Pants: AG, Tie: Boss, Shoes: To Boot New York
Every guy should have a leather jacket in his wardrobe. I love this John Varavatos jacket because it’s classic and cool and very simple in design. Notice the slimmer fit. If you are wearing your dad’s old jacket and it’s two sizes too big, just stop. You’re aging yourself and no one wants to see that. Pair the jacket with a pair of dark slim blue jeans, a nice button down and a great pair of chukka boots. P.S. you can definitely wear these boots to work as well.
Jacket: John Varvatos, Shirt: Theory, Jeans: AG, Shoes: Timberland
WEEKEND CASUAL
Love this easy weekend look. I styled Josh in a colored pair of slim fit jeans, a simple tee, a short sleeve button down and a light weight jacket. I love all the layers! The sneakers might be my favorite part, obviously I am a sucker for a good pair of shoes!
Jacket: Kane & Unke, SS Button Down: RVCA, Tshirt: the Rail, Jeans: JBrand, Shoes: Vince
