Chelsea Boots for Men: Style Guide

I always say, “when planning an outfit, start with your shoes.”  Chelsea boots are those statement shoes that an outfit should be planned around.  A good pair can be worn countless ways and you will have them for years.  They are the women’s equivalent to a little bootie and women wear their “booties” with everythingggggggg.  Same can apply for your Chelsea boots.

So what is a Chelsea Boot?

Chelsea Boots have been around since the Victorian era and have a slim silhouette with elastic sides and normally feature a little tab or loop on the back, by the heel, so you can slip them on and off easily.  They are clean and classic and definitely an investment shoe that you can dress up and wear with a suit or grunge down and wear them with ripped denim and a moto jacket.

I think a great pair of Chelsea Boots would look killer with a suit as well, an updated version of wearing a slip on.  Also please note that I love brown Chelsea Boots as well, I am just having a black moment.
