Welcome to my Music Festival Wardrobe Guide for Men
It’s that time of year again, festival season is upon us!
Last year I went to Coachella for the first time and it was pretty epic. Our friends Ghostface Killah and Rae Kwon performed and they gave us the royal hook up of the Artist Pass. IT WAS AWESOME. Not to sound like a bougie brat, but once you go artist, you never go back. Trust.
Before any of you question this random friendship with Ghost, my boyfriend has been friends with him for over 15 years! ANYWAYS, the best part of Coachella, and any music festival is DEFINITELY the music. However, festival fashion is a very close second. Not only do you want to look cool but you really do want to be comfortable- you will be standing (hopefully dancing) on your feet for hours upon hours and nothing is worse than wanting to leave the party early because you’re uncomfortable.
I styled my friend Jake in some festival wardrobe looks that will have everyone envying your style.
The Ripped-Denim, White tee & Bandana Look
I love this look for festival season! Actually, I love this look for all summer long. This outfit is composed of all basic wardrobe essentials that you should already have in your closet. It’s cool, it’s casual and it’s totally effortless. Lived in, ripped denim shorts are seen on all trend guides for the season and if you haven’t yet styled a bandana into your wardrobe, what are you waiting for?! Pair the outfit with some comfy kicks and a classic white tee. You’ll look like the cool kid who didn’t even have to try.

The Matching Set
Feather Palm Shirt: GLOBE, Feathered Palm Shorts: GLOBE,
The matchy matchy short/shirt combo is such a fun festival look! I love this play on patterns. These shorts from Globe are actual hybrid bathing suit trunks/shorts so you can take this look from the pool party to the festival. Style this fun combo with white sneakers and a pair of shades.
Holy Moly it is hard as hell to find cool matching sets that aren’t pajamas, Tommy Bahama or for senior citizens!! I did my best for you guys below!

You NEED to incorporate patterns into your festival wardrobe. If you were every concerned about wearing colors and patterns THIS is the time to play! Seriously, as far as festival wardrobe fashion is concerned, EVERYTHING GOES. The bolder, the better! Look for cotton, linen or cotton blend tops that have lots of colors and patterns. ALSO, please note that I said cotton. I wore this badass vintage top to Coachella one day last year and it was silk…BIG MISTAKE. If you don’t want to do a pattern on pattern look you can opt for nice clean cut shorts in black, navy, tan or olive. Pair this look with Birkenstocks! Yes, Birkenstocks. I bought myself a pair two years ago for my “walking the dog shoe” and now wear them all season long.
SHOP THIS LOOK:
Canadian Tuxedo with a side of Ralph Lauren Cowboy
Did you guys know that it gets COLD in the desert?! At night, the temperature drops drastically and you’re going to be stoked when you can wear that extra layer tied around your waist. I love this look because I think anytime is a good time for a Canadian Tuxedo (denim on denim), and because the socks, boots & hat together just give me the sort of western feels I dream about. PLUS, although I think sunglasses are a necessity, I personally prefer to wear hats to shield myself from the sun! The desert boots and sock combo will be great when you’re trying to squeeze your way to the front and people are stepping on your toes left and right! Also, if you don’t already own a light pair of blue jeans, it’s time to get a pair for spring and summer! I’ll do a full tutorial on how to style them soon!
