I love Florence.

I studied and lived in the city for 5 months back in 2009.  I remember the plane ride there.  I was excited and anxious.  I must have downed a few of those mini red wine bottles with the older Italian gentleman sitting next to me.   I had no idea what adventure I was about to embark on but I knew I would never return the same person.  I’ll never forget the first time I saw the Duomo (Santa Maria del Fiore).  It was a truly magical experience.  I wish I could walk past it right now.  

I hope this image reminds you to walk a little slower today and to appreciate your surroundings.
