Denim Guide for You and Your Man

Is your boyfriend in serious need of a new pair of jeans?  Women tell me all the time that their man is stuck in a jean rut.  His jeans are 2 sizes too big, bootcut or even worse… flared.  There are hundreds of jeans out there so the process of finding a pair that fits right can be challenging.  I selected some of my favorite straight-leg fits for the guy that wants to be comfortable and that you want to look good.

ONE: Citizens of Humanity, SID. Wash, Standard.  TWO: Joe’s, BRIXTON. Wash, King.  THREE: Hudson, BYRON. Wash, Atlantis.  FOUR: J. Brand, KANE. Wash, Raw.  FIVE:A.G., PROTEGE. Wash, Hunts.

What you should know…

The Brixton and the Kane are going to be a little bit more tapered, for the guy that wants a slimmer straight leg without getting into skinny jeans territory.  The Protege are going to be the widest fitting in the leg, for the guy with more ‘athletic’ thighs.  The Byron and the Sids are your perfect classic straight leg.

The price of the jeans above range from $158-220 and are well worth every penny.    They all come in several washes but I personally think that when investing in a new, great fitting pair of jeans it is better to get a darker wash.  They translate the best from day to night and also fade the least!

Diggin’ your blog – found you thru WMCFest twitter feed. SO random….anyway I am a 35 yr old designer from Columbus GA – I just started my own firm (finally)! and I need to dress the part. I read this article and you give some good advice and help. Unfortunately it only helps the folks that can fit in to those clothes. I played professional arena football for years as a lineman – so I am a rather large dude. 6’3 365 – People my size need good tips on looking the part. What are your recommendations on that and you might consider adding a section in the Men’s section that caters to bigger build folks? Just a thought! Love the blog! Keep on keepin’ on!!

    Best,
    Mike Jones
